We are looking for a passionate and innovative teacher to join our IB team as we embark on an exciting new phase of our school's development starting august 2024 . The candidate should have experience teaching twentieth-century World History at IB DP level / A level, ideally with a specialization in the modern history of Europe. The ability to also teach IB Theory of Knowledge would be an advantage.
The successful candidate should have:
A relevant degree, with UK PGCE, or other recognized teaching qualification
A minimum of three years' teaching experience, ideally in an international context
Experience of the IBDP, English National Curriculum, IGCSE syllabuses is desirable
Be a positive and enthusiastic team player who will help develop new initiatives to develop the IB programme
Passion for teaching and commitment to holistic, student-centred education
A proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice, including responding positively to differentiation and inclusion
The flexibility to work across IB subject groups in the delivery of the TOK programme
Knowledge and experience in the use of digital technologies to enhance pupils' learning
Some knowledge of the French language, or a willingness to develop French language competency
The position is full-time and initially for a 10-month period lasting to the end of June 2025. There is the possibility of renewal subject to performance.
